We understand there are lots of reasons a home produces waste so here are some easy ways you can cut down your waste:
1 Recycle more
There’s no limit on the amount of recycling that can be taken with your fortnightly collection. If your brown bin is full, put recyclables in clear bags and neatly present it by your bin.
2 Visit your local reuse and recycle centres
We collect paper, card and plastic bottles in your brown bin, but there’s a lot more we recycle at bring banks, and recycle and reuse centres. Find out what can be recycled where here.
3 Plan your meals
Food waste costs the average family household £700 per year – that’s A LOT of money! Plan your meals and buy only what you need to reduce waste, and save you money.
4 Bung it in the freezer

5 Get composting
